The Ultimate HPA Upgrade for Realism, Performance & Modularity

Pre-Upgraded CNC Version – Includes ASG CNC machined Trigger and Hop Unit

Built from the ground up for serious airsoft players, the EVO HPA Edition combines the refined external ergonomics and tactical heritage of the EVO platform with cutting-edge HPA engine technology from Backdraft Innovations. This is not a standard airsoft gun; this is a high-performance HPA system designed for consistency, speed, and customisation.

• Key Features & Highlights

  • Backdraft Innovations HPA Engine, a finely engineered pneumatic cylinder that uses High-Pressure Air to propel a 6mm BB. If AEG is the system we all understand as the standard for general airsoft use, and gas blow back is the platform for realistic noise and feel – HPA is the platform for sheer performance. We believe that the performance gained by HPA makes it the best option for competitive players, those who want every advantage on the field. Backdraft Innovations have fast become a major player, with their engines surpassing all expectations.
  • Wide PSI operating window (roughly 40–130 psi) and capable of 40+ rounds per second in optimised setups.
  • Premium Construction & Build Quality: Our commitment to exact 1:1 replication means  external design and proportions live up to the Scorpion EVO legacy, using the same high-density polymer as the real CZ Scorpion EVO. Featuring full tactical furniture, ambidextrous controls, and robust mounting rails.
  • Grip mounted line – with our connector being mounted solidly to the underside of the grip it’s possible to disconnect and reconnect one handed. Super easy when entering or leaving the safe zone! Our integrated QD connector, fixed directly into the grip plate, is a premium solution that greatly reduces risk of damage to the IGL (in-grip line) during games.
  • Advanced Fire Control & Modes: With a new wireless Fire Control Unit (FCU) included in the Backdraft package, the rifle supports modes such as Safe, Semi, Burst, Binary & Full-Auto, all of which are configurable. This is controlled by the “Backdraft Control” smartphone APP! Available for both iOS and Android. Note the FCU password for all ASG models is set to: 123456 out of the box.
  • Custom trigger board - The new EVO HPA comes with a custom trigger board, which not only retains the last round hold open function as per the standard AEG EVO, but now allows users to toggle this function on and off through the app.
  • Ergonomic & Modular Furniture: Adjustable stock, attachment ready handguard, ambidextrous selector and magazine release—to suit both field and CQB playstyles.
  • Upgrade and Customisation Ready: With the HPA platform in place, players can dial in regulator settings, experiment with barrel/hop-up tuning, modify dwell/ROF settings, and adapt to game rules or personal preference.
  • Field-Reliable Performance: The HPA engine design means fewer moving mechanical parts compared to an AEG gearbox/GBBR - leading to reduced mechanical wear, making it virtually maintenance free.
  • Trigger response:  With virtually zero complication from “wind up time” HPA delivers a connected feeling to the gun like no other. Think of each trigger pull as simply releasing the compressed air to propel the BB, Vs an AEG trigger actuating an ETU, that activates a gearbox, that in turn pulls back and releases a piston etc
  • ULTIMATE CNC Machined trigger offers a precise feel, virtually zero flex with a super short response. Shave time from your trigger pull and be the quickest to fire.
  • ULTIMATE CNC Hop-up unit - Whilst our standard hop unit is a renowned performer we wanted to push the limits of fine tuning to the next level. The Ultimate CNC machined version of our EVO hop unit allows the finest of incremental adjustment, and pushes the possibility of running much heavier 6mm ammo.
